We couldn’t find a bank with that name. See below what you can do if your bank isn’t listed.
Banks change their menus often: if you can’t find an option, look for similar names (“Export”, “Download”, “Transactions”) or check your bank’s help pages. Bank names are trademarks of their owners, who are not affiliated with Calers.
Which format should you choose?
If your bank offers several formats, pick the first one on this list that it has.
- 1 OFX / QFX A banking standard: dates, amounts and descriptions with no ambiguity. The best choice if your bank offers it. Supported
- 2 CSV Text separated by commas or semicolons. Calers detects the separator and suggests which column is which field. Supported
- 3 Excel (XLSX or XLS) The most common option in online banking. Calers reads the first sheet and skips the information lines banks put before the transactions. Supported
- 4 QIF The classic Quicken and Money format. It works well but carries less information than OFX. Supported
- 5 MT940 A SWIFT format offered by some digital banks and business banking. Supported
- PDF Made for reading or printing, not importing: Calers can’t read it. Not supported
- Norma 43 A Spanish banking format for businesses. Calers doesn’t read it: choose Excel or CSV. Not supported
Your bank isn’t listed?
No problem: Calers works with any bank that lets you download your transactions as CSV, Excel, OFX, QFX, QIF or MT940. Look for options such as “Export”, “Download” or “Transactions” in your online banking.
How importing worksQuestions about importing
Does Calers connect to my bank?
No. Calers never asks for your bank username or password. You download the transactions file from your online banking and upload it to Calers: you decide what you share and when.
Which file formats does Calers accept?
CSV, Excel (XLSX and XLS), OFX, QFX, QIF and MT940, in files up to 5 MB. PDFs and Norma 43 can’t be imported.
How often should I import my transactions?
Whenever suits you: some people do it weekly, others once a month. Pick a period that starts right after your last import so transactions don’t repeat.
What if my bank only gives me PDFs?
Calers can’t read PDFs. Look in your online banking for an option to export or download as Excel or CSV (it’s sometimes in the transactions list rather than in statements) or ask your branch. If there isn’t one, you can enter the transactions by hand.
