Cookie policy

Which cookies we use, what they are for and how you can manage them.

  3. 3. Cookie details
  4. 4. Third-party cookies and services
  5. 5. Consent
  6. 6. How to manage them

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser to remember information between pages or visits. Other technologies, such as the browser’s local storage (localStorage), work in a similar way and are also covered by this policy.

2. Types of cookies we use

  • Technical cookies and storage that are essential for the website and the app to work. These are the only ones the app app.calers.ad uses.
  • Google Analytics analytics cookies, only on the website calers.ad and only if you accept them in the cookie banner. They tell us, statistically, how many visits the website gets, which pages are viewed and where visitors come from.

We do not use advertising or social media cookies, and we do not track your activity on other websites.

3. Cookie details

  • calers_web (calers.ad): first-party session cookie that remembers your chosen language while you browse the website. Expires when you close the browser.
  • calers_tema (calers.ad): first-party preference cookie that remembers whether you chose the light or dark mode of the website. It is only created if you use the theme selector and expires after one year.
  • calers_galetes (calers.ad): first-party preference cookie that remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. It expires after 6 months, after which we will ask you again.
  • _ga and _ga_<identifier> (calers.ad): Google Analytics analytics cookies, only created if you accept them. They distinguish visits and sessions statistically without identifying you, and expire after 2 years or when you withdraw your consent.
  • calers_sess (app.calers.ad): first-party session cookie that keeps you securely logged in. Expires when you log out, close the browser or after a period of inactivity.
  • calers_oauth_browser (app.calers.ad): first-party security cookie created only if you sign in with Google or Apple, to protect the process against attacks. Expires after 10 minutes.
  • calers_2fa_disp (app.calers.ad): first-party security cookie created only if you have two-step verification turned on and tick “Don't ask for a code on this browser”. It stops us asking for the code on that browser and expires after 30 days or when you forget it from Profile → Security.
  • calers_sidebar_collapsed (app.calers.ad): local storage value that remembers whether you collapsed the sidebar. Kept until you delete it.

4. Third-party cookies and services

When you sign in with Google or Apple, or when you buy or manage your subscription with Paddle, these services may use their own cookies on their forms and pages, in accordance with their policies. The fonts, icons and libraries of the website and the app are served from our own servers, so your IP address is not shared with any external provider while you browse, except Paddle when you open the subscription page and Google if you accept analytics cookies on the website.

Google Analytics is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited. If you accept it, it receives your IP address and your browsing data on the website to produce aggregated statistics. We have turned off advertising features and Google Signals, and Google Analytics does not log or store full IP addresses. You will find more information in the Privacy policy and at policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Consent

Technical cookies are strictly necessary to provide the service you request and do not require your consent.

Analytics cookies, on the other hand, are only set if you accept them in the banner shown the first time you visit the website. Rejecting them is as easy as accepting them and, if you reject them or do not respond, we do not load Google Analytics and you can use the website as normal.

6. How to manage them

You can change your choice about analytics cookies at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer; if you withdraw your consent, we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. You can also view, block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.). Please note that if you block technical cookies, you may not be able to log in or use the app properly.

Analytics cookies

We’d like to use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and improve the website. We’ll only load it if you accept, and the app never uses it. Cookie policy
