Frequently asked questions

Got questions? Here are the answers

How does the free trial work?

Sign up and get 7 days of full access to every feature. We don’t ask for a card, so nothing is charged when it ends. If you like it, activate the annual plan from the app.

How much does it cost after the trial?

€29 a year plus your country’s tax, which is added at checkout and shown before you confirm (for example, 21% VAT in Spain). It’s a single annual payment that includes every feature and update.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There’s no lock-in. Cancel from the customer portal and keep access until the end of the paid period.

Does Calers connect to my bank?

No. Calers never asks for passwords or access to your bank. You can enter transactions by hand or import the file you download from your bank (CSV, Excel, QIF, OFX, QFX or MT940).

Where is my data stored?

On our servers, stored in an isolated and protected way, never mixed with other users’ data. The app has no third-party analytics or ads, and we never sell or share your financial information.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. Calers works in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer, with no app to install.

Can I take my data out or delete my account?

Yes. Under Privacy and data in your profile you can download all your data in a ZIP file (JSON and CSV) and delete your account whenever you like. Doing so erases your data, backups and associated files.

Is Calers a bank or a financial adviser?

No. Calers is personal finance software to organise and plan your money. It doesn’t move money, grant credit or provide financial advice.

How can I protect my account even more?

Turn on two-step verification under Security in your profile. As well as your password, we’ll ask for a 6-digit code from the authenticator app on your phone when you sign in (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password or any other compatible app). If you like, you can remember your trusted devices for 30 days.

What if I lose the phone with my authenticator app?

When you turn on verification we give you 10 single-use recovery codes: keep them somewhere safe and you’ll be able to sign in without your phone. If you’ve lost them too, write to us and, once we’ve confirmed your identity, we’ll turn it off for you.

Can I track my properties and mortgage?

Yes. In Properties you add each property with its purchase price and valuations, and the mortgage with its principal, term and rate. Calers works out the amortisation schedule, with rate reviews and early repayments, and the net worth on the overview takes the value and outstanding balance into account.

Is the payment Calers calculates the same as my bank’s?

It uses the French fixed-payment system most banks use, so the difference is usually a few cents due to rounding or the charge date. It’s an estimate: for exact figures, always check with your bank.
